Niger Delta University Bigger Than Monopolize Banking System, Nanakumo Ebikeseiye

NIGER  DELTA  UNIVERSITY  WILBERFORCE ISLAND,  AMASSOMA,  BAYELSA STATE

STILL WITH JUST ONE BANK ( DIAMOND BANK PLC ).

Yesterday being the 2nd August, 2017,  I took an unscheduled visit to my brothers at Niger Delta University ( NDU )  were I graduated  2012, I must confess the school have changed positively,  having new structures, so many accredited departments etc. But one bordering issue I identify is the problem of still having only one Bank,

It is very much appalling that the prestigious Niger Delta University has only one bank ( Diamond Bank Plc ),  the institution  is bigger than having one bank, it is annoying  that this same bank is not just been used by students alone but all the indigenes of Amassoma and her neighbouring communities.

My observations from other  universities have visited, NDU   seems to be the only one with this chronic disease, I called it disease because with my experience as once a student there I know what students are passing through in other to make transaction, do u know  some universities in Nigeria  have more than five banks? It befuddled me that up till now my proud  NDU still operating on a monopolize banking system.

I think the school management is having an agreement with Diamond Bank for not allowing other Banks to come in,  not that having one bank is a taboo ( forbidden)  but the problem is ''' Is the level of OPERATION FAST?
the demerits of having just a bank has been a bearer to the students, like standing in queue just to pay school fees or to make  withdrawal.    ATM machines too are supposed to be installed at strategic designated centers in the school premises including CHS and new site respectively in other to ease withdrawal.

This is disgusting,  I urge the Students Government Union ( SUG ), NUBSS NDU Chapter
 to channel this to the appropriate quarters in other to do something about this long monopolize Banking system in NDU simple because NDU is bigger than this level.
