President Epie/Atissa Youth Council Worldwide and his cabinets celebrated the new yam festival in an elegant form.





The new yam festival day is a day of happiness, is a day to eat,drink and be Merry for the people of Atissa Kingdom.

Is a time all sons and daughters of ATISSA Kingdom comes down home in honour of the UGE ADIAFA ATISSA festival celebaration.



President EPIE/ATISSA Youth Council Worldwide, The President Of EPIE/ATISSA Youth Presidents Council, Senior Comrade Ken Godwin, Said, as president of Epie/ATISSA youth council worldwide, i am more than happy to see all recognised sons and daughters of EPIE/ATISSA together in peace and harmony celebrating the festival, as it is another way to say that the youths of today still have respect for the cultural tradition of their forefathers.

The president also used the opportunity to address the issue of cult group activities in the state capital.

He said, concerning the activities of cultism in Yenagoa city
As the president of the youths in the Capital City of Yenagoa (Epie/Atissa) I and my council of youth presidents in the City will do everything within our powers to make peace reign in the city of Yenagoa, as it will be the first step to sustainable development in the state.

The President confirmed this when speaking to the C.E.O of Miltontrends,Mr Andrew Milton
That he is assuring the residents of the capital city that cultism will soon be a thing of the past as all hands in the city is on deck to eradicate these hoodlums out of our capital.

I promise the residents of yenagao that cultism will be a thing of the Past in my capital, As the president of all youths and youth presidents in the city Capital (Epie/Atissa) I will do everything within my power to see that cultism is no more in the city as we will be working with both the state and federal government to bring anyone indulging himself in such activities to justice.

The cry for of a cultism free state was first organised by the Yenagoa women council in a peaceful protest tagged Enough is Enough, Yenagoa city women say no to Cultism
when a naval cadet Steven Enoch (Deceased) who is due to pass out of the Nigerian Defence Academy in less than 2months was murdered when he tried rescuing someone who was being robbed by cultist.

The Yenagao City Council pledged to work tirelessly in a meeting to work with the state and federal government hand In hand to see every cult group activities in the state capital city is vanquished.

The President also urged the youth of the city to give peace a chance as it is the only way to sustainable development and infrastructure to help build yenagoa city a better place.
