Hon.Oboku Oforji thanks the Governor of Bayelsa State for giving him the opportunity to serve his people with Love,Strength and Sincerity.
These are the words of the Former Chairman saying thank you to our Ambitious Governor Henry Seriake Dickson and all the people who stood by him during his time of service
It gives me a great sense of honor and privilege to appreciate my leaders and governor, His Excellency, Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson and his deputy, Rear Admiral Gboribiogha John Jonah Rtr. the opportunity they gave me to serve my people at the LGA level.
Sir, having served as the Caretaker Chairman of Yenagoa Local Government under your purview as the State Governor, gives me a great satisfaction.
Your unflinching support, encouragement and advice while on sit as the Caretaker Chairman of the Council, spurred me to achieve and led the Council on a straight part.
Today, as I bow out as the Caretaker Chairman of the LGA, I have no regret to say that under your leadership, I served the people of YELGA meritoriously well for the period of One year, Three months.
Let me also use this opportunity to thank my team for their support and love shown me while serving as the council chairman.
Furthermore, to the good people of Yenagoa Local Government, thank you for your support, encouragement and show of love given to me while in office.
I appreciate you all.
Hon.Oboku Oforji bowed out of office after a year and 3months, during this short term of Service he was able to complete 16 Projects with 4 other projects still under construction within this short period of time, this is a proof without doubt that Oforji is indeed a Good Follower and Leader of his people.
May I humbly say that, while in office, I and my team were able to achieve these projects:

1. Construction of Opolo Drainage
2. Rehabilitation of Opolo water system
3. Construction of Phase 1&2 shopping mall, Ekeki
4. Construction of Trunk drainage, Ekeki
5. Construction of Obogoro walkway and a mini-bridge
6. Renovation and equipping of Bomoudigbene Health Center
7. Construction of Ben Ojokojo walkway, opposite Pepperoni Fast Food, Ekeki
8. Procurement of Thirty plot of land at Zarama
9. Construction of walkway to the palace of Yenagoa paramount ruler
10. Construction of Igbogene wooden bridge
11. Clearing of a fallen Trunk tree at Okotiama
12. Restoring peace between Tein and Egbebiri community
13. Ensuring peace and calmness in Biogbolo community
14. Rehabilitation of water system and repainting of council building and perimeter fence.
15. Sand filling of phase one of Zarama market
16. Installation of Six Solar panels at Ekeki shopping mall
*ONGOING PROJECTS*
1. Walkway at Biogbolo/Yenezue Gene Comprehensive Secondary School
2. 110 shopping mall, Ekeki
3. Ongoing sand filling of Opolo Health Center
4. Cracking of Dimrose drainage in order to get a running level
