Ogbogoro in Yenagoa Local Govt Area in Bayelsa State after his primary and secondary school education; he started organizing kids in his street to play street football and later formed AG Lions Football Club in 1994.Then Bayelsa State was not created, it was in old Rivers State.

The response of the kids was so encouraging and when people started seeing what he was doing they started calling him coach and because of the love?! he has for those kids, he could no longer play football, he devoted all his time in the upbringing of kids within the age of 7-13 years and he remained focused and gradually developed what will later be strong and recognized football academy, however they say change is only constant thing, AG LIONS FC was rebranded and the name was change to Yenagoa City Football Academy, which Ada Gwegwe is the CEO/Chairman.

The academy parades itself with the production of about 90% of the Bayelsans Indigenes footballers playing in our own state clubs. And some plays professional football within, and outside the shore of Nigeria. The academy has also produced players for the national U-17, U-20, U23 and the present super Eagle.

Coach Ada Gwegwe was the first Bayelsan football coach and the youngest to handel a primier League Club in Nigeria,he was also the first football coach in Bayelsa to have won an international football tournament and the only coach in the history of bayelsa state federation cup to have won the federation back to back with tow different team 2016/2017

Ada gwegwe as a Grassroot coach has won several local, national, international competitions for Bayelsa state and Nigeria at large. He’s grassroot development program has caught across, all the local government areas in Bayelsa State and Niger Delta as a whole, he is been regarded as the pillar of grassroot football developer in Niger Delta.

He is the present coach of George Turnah Football Club

Ada gwegwe is the Technical Director of Bayelsa State Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON) and the president of Bayelsa State Grassroot coaches association

Coach Ada is a Graduate of National Institute of Sports (NIS) Lagos, alsoa CAF C coaches Licences holder he has also attended various coaching seminar in norway, Quatar, South Africa etc. He’s happily married to Mrs Bintu Rita Ada Gwegwe with 3 kids,master Nathan Ada jnr Esueme Gwegwe, master Promise Yenesom Ada Gwegwe, and Miss Beatrice Ovieme Ada Gwegwe,

Ada gwegwe has worked with AG.
