RATTAWU, RADIO BAYELSA CHAPTER GETS NEW EXCO.
The Radio, Television, Theatre & Arts Workers Union of Nigeria, RATTAWU, radio Bayelsa Council just concluded her elections today at the premises of the,, Corporation. The election, which was generally described as peaceful produced winners and losers with one inconclusive elections.
In a statement filed in by Comrade Obama Akemokuro the elect Chairman and signed by the Secretary Comrade Godgift Prezi Mr. Ifiemi Benji Bokolo was elected Chairman, while Mr. Kimiseya Ayaowei was returned unopposed as Vice Chairman. Other officers of the new Executive Council include: Mr. Youdubagha Eric Mike as Secretary, Souteigha Tita Peremoboere as Assistant Secretary, while Mr. Douboebi Daniel Amakoromo was returned as Auditor. The position of Publicity Secretary was clinched by Mr. Okponya Owen Rufus even as Mr. Okotobe ThankGod who was returned unopposed as Financial Secretary. Elections into the post of Treasurer was too close to call and therefore inconclusive.
The ELECO had promised that to conduct the inclusive election in 30 days. The ELECO congratulates the victorious candidates and charged them to administer the Chapter with the fear of God. The Chairman, Mr. Nengi Bokolo pledged to operate an all inclusive administration, stressing that under his administration, RATTAWU will be taken to the next level in Radio Bayelsa.
The outgone Chairman Mr. Pius Otiti expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the election, pledging to work with the new EXCO.
